Async x SuperRare Partnership

  • Async and SuperRare officially partnered where SuperRare indexed select Async Blueprints collections on their marketplace

  • This was a bold move upholding web3's ethos of collaboration over competition

  • We launched with a co-branded generative art collection: “Across the Face” by Osinachi. The 1000-edition collection sold out in a few hours in a bear market, netting 100 ETH in sales.

strategy + actions

  • I collaborated with our Product team to identify Osinachi's Blueprint as a suitable launch partner, given his longstanding history on both platforms.

  • I determined a marketing strategy + plan with SuperRare's marketing team and drove Async's marketing team to execute on the campaign which included: cross-channel social posts, a joint X Space, blogs on both platforms, and collector shoutouts.

  • Leading up to the launch, we drove community intrigue in the partnership announcement by having Async Art and SuperRare's social media accounts dialogue with each other.

  • Osinachi ran a raffle for holders to select 25 editions of the collection, and SuperRare exhibited these at their IRL gallery in SoHo, Manhattan on Infinite Objects.

  • For Phase 2 of the partnership, we launched Rare Blueprints, ie. SuperRare indexed collections of all creators who were also on both platforms.

  • We ran a series of guessing games and giveaways to roll out the first few indexed collections. Full details in this blog which I wrote. I concepted and storyboarded all assets used for the launch, such as the ones below.

  • The email which announced "Grifters" by XCOPY were now on SuperRare hit their highest open rate ever.
